About Time Cost
The TIME COST package is designed for use by Accountants, Lawyers, Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Financial Advisors and other professionals who track their time for billing clients and/or to monitor time spent on projects.
In addition to tracking time spent on projects, employee lost and non-chargeable time can be recorded for full productivity and work type analysis. Expenses (disbursements) incurred for client work can be recorded against client jobs.
The package is not intended for general job costing applications which usually include inventory and payroll information.
The FREE version of TIME COST is suitable for sole practitioners and small firms of 5 employees or less, with the SQL Server version capable of handling larger firms of over 100 employees.
Debtors
More than just a time recording system, TIME COST includes integrated DEBTORS for feeing/billing and debt monitoring. Fee documents based on Word can be created to your specification with Fee entries crediting client WIP (work in progress) and debiting the debtor ledger.
Complete with aged debtor analysis, debtor statements and open item receipting, TIME COST provides comprehensive debt control.
Microsoft Outlook
TIME COST operates from within Microsoft Outlook© utilising Outlook Contact details such as name and address, enabling client WIP and debt to be viewed from within the Outlook Contact form. All reporting, maintenance and transactions are recorded within OUTLOOK making TIME COST an integral part of your desktop.
Reporting
TIME COST utilises Microsoft Excel© for summarising data and reporting. In this way reports need not be printed unnecessarily but rather stored and viewed as required.
Backend Database
Whilst OUTLOOK provides the familiar, easy to use front end, TIME COST retains master and transactional data within a secure backend database of either SQL SERVER© or ACCESS©
SQL SERVER is the recommended database, however Microsoft Access may be used for firms up to 5 employees.
Multi User, High Performance
Time Cost is fully multi-user, with any number of users concurrently entering their own time sheets, producing reports or drilling into Contact Time Cost information.
